Skywrite.me is all about writing Remarkable Messages! Social Networks and Microblogging Systems offer you a lot of possibilities to write what you think nowadays. But who really notices what you write, no matter how interesting, wise or funny it may be? Skywrite.me is the approach to define a Sky in the World Wide Web. Whoever looks at it will see what is written. What do you have to say that should be read by everyone?

Even Skywrite.me is all about writing Remarkable Messages; it is not another Microblogging System. The concept is rather to give your already existing Messages an extraordinary, glamorous touch by writing them into the Sky. This means you can import Messages from several existing Social Networks or Microblogging Systems like Twitter, Tumblr, Plurk or Friendfeed and "send them somewhere and to someone".

The Sky on Skywrite.me is unique, everyone who opens it, will see the same current Skywriting. It changes at 5-minute intervals. Also the Sky itself changes with the Skywriting, because by connecting a Skywriting to a specific location its view depends on some local factors. This means, for example, that your Message will appear either in daylight or in the night sky.

How long do I have to wait to see my Skywriting and what if I miss it?

As in reality, Skywritings do not last long and will disappear fast in the Sky. But, of course, they aren´t lost in Skywrite.me. In the Archives you have different possibilities to search for Skywritings. Every Skywriting even has a permalink, so that you can simulate the Sky whenever you want.

When you create a Skywriting a time estimation, that indicates how long you have to wait until you see your Skywriting, will be calculated and shown to you. This number depends on how many Skywritings have been written before you. Because of the fixed time interval of 5 minutes only 288 new Skywritings can be shown per day, which - of course - on the one hand makes Skywrite.me limited, but on the other hand it makes your Skywriting something special.
